About Dr. Markle

Dr. Markle is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist in Austin, Texas, with Board Certification in Rehabilitation Psychology. She is also Affiliate Faculty at the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, in the Department of Neurology, a member of the Academy of Rehabilitation Psychology and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, as well as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIST) with the Brain Injury Association of America. She was also appointed to the Board of Governors on the Academy Committee of the Academy of Brain Injury Specialists.

Dr. Markle has a master’s in counseling, and earned her Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed a psychology residency at The Washington, DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, with didactics training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Her research interests primarily focused on the relationships between health, stress and coping with personality traits, personality functioning in traumatic brain injury populations, and disability accommodations in the workplace.

Dr. Markle

Dr. Markle continually seeks science- and evidence-based practices to help the patients she serves. She is dedicated to providing holistic wellness and quality care to all patients and their families.

She completed a two-year integrative neuropsychology/psychology postdoctoral fellowship with rotations at the Austin State Hospital, The Texas NeuroRehab Center, and Neurology Associates. She also completed the Plant-Based Nutrition certification with Cornell University, and advanced certifications in mental health integrative medicine, psychopharmacology, and adjustment and end-of-life issues with injury, disability, and chronic illness populations.

In addition to her private practice and hospital consultations, Dr. Markle provides didactics and professional development training. Hospital privileges currently include Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital and Dell Medical.
